Information on registration and volunteering

We encourage you to use on-line registration. Opening of registration will be publicized in social media, the schools and through the Parks and Rec. Department. For your protection, all participants MUST complete on-line registration with the League before participating in any games or practices. Registration must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian as a waiver of liability for the League and their volunteers. Parents of new players must provide on request, a valid birth certificate or passport and proof of residency. We will be collecting the registration fee by PayPal or major credit card (this includes your jersey, hat, and pants) and parents must post a $400 refundable online volunteer deposit or volunteer check before uniforms will be issued.

Uniforms
Included in the registration fee, St. Louis Park Little League provides a cap, shirt and pants for all players that are theirs to keep.

Insurance
Players must provide proof of health/medical insurance at registration. The Little League insurance program is designed to afford protection to all participants at the most economical cost to the league. It can be used to supplement other insurance coverage under a family policy or provided by an employer. If there is no other coverage, Little League insurance provides certain benefits. If an injury occurs during a game or practice, the team manager is expected to report it to the league Safety Officer within 48 hours.

Family Involvement/Volunteering

St Louis Park Little League serves over 400 children annually. The league takes a great deal of time and money to operate.  The registration fee that we collect at does not cover the complete cost of operating the league for the season.  At registration, the league collects a volunteer deposit to ensure that all commitments are fulfilled. We don’t cash the checks until the end of the season and only if you have not fulfilled your volunteer commitment.  St. Louis Park Little League is a volunteer organization.

Parents are required to assist in the operation of the concession stand by working a set number of shifts as determined annually by the board of directors. Revenues raised from the concession stand are used to help lower registration fees and to pay all umpiring fees. Concession hours will be scheduled on the league web-site. It is your responsibility to trade hours with someone if you cannot work the assigned shift. You must log your hours worked in folders located in each concession stand. Completed hours will be posted biweekly on the league web-site. You can also meet your volunteer hour obligation by coaching or helping out on field clean-up day or serving as a team parent.
